At Riviera Roast, we believe a better daily ritual starts with uncompromising attention to quality. That’s why our family-run California roaster follows a dedicated Clean Coffee Project, focusing on careful practices throughout the coffee-making process.

From shade-grown cultivation and organic compost to thorough washing and controlled fermentation, every stage is approached with care. Roasting provides an additional microbial removal step, helping reduce potential contaminants while developing the coffee’s distinctive flavour.

But quality shouldn’t rely on process alone. Independent laboratory testing by Eurofins Food and Chemistry Testing US, Inc. confirmed that yeast and mould levels were within safe limits, heavy metals including lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury were below applicable regulatory limits, and no pesticides or herbicides were detected in the tested samples.
